1972 Corvette LT-1 Coupe...4 speed manual transmission, Ontario orange with tan vinyl interior. I believe the mileage to be accurate which is at 49,012. I have had the car for roughly ten years. Prior to me owning it, it had sat in a garage for roughly 8 years without being driven. Right now the car runs and drives great. Not much has been done to the car...overall its mostly all original. It was repainted in the original orange sometime in the 1990s prior to me owning it, so while the body is straight, and previously un-hit, there is some blistering in the paint, but it looks good from a distance so you could easily leave it the way it is. I've rebuilt the carburetor a couple of times, along with other routine items such as spark plugs, oil changes, coolant flush, brake calipers, rear spring, etc. The engine and trans are numbers matching, and original to the car. The rear end is a 3.70 ratio. The smog system is still installed as you can see in the pictures. Having sat as long as it did, the frame looks worse than it is. A lot of what you see is the old black coating flaking off, and clearly there are rusty components, but by no means is the frame falling apart or anything. The engine runs strong, it shifts well, and the car feels nice and tight. The interior is in very nice original condition...carpeting is still original. You could easily drive the car on a daily basis right now as there are no current issues. Everything currently works from the headlights to the wipers and everything in between. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is F11. September 21, 2015. |
